This is a Compatible Konica-Minolta 4519401 Laser Drum Unit guaranteed to perform with Konica Minolta 1400w Laser Printers. It replaces the original Konica-Minolta 4519401 Laser Drum Unit. The compatible replacement 4519401 Laser Cartridges and supplies (also known as generic) are specially engineered to meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and exceptional yields that meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards for the 4519401 and offer high-quality printing results. Page Yield is an approximation of the number of standard pages that can be printed with one cartridge, usually measured at 5% page coverage. 5% coverage is a standard 8.5 x 11 inch page with a light letterhead, address and three paragraphs of text double spaced. If you print mixed text and graphics or WebPages your page coverage is closer to 15% and therefore the number of pages printed with each cartridge will be less. If you are printing photos your page coverage is close to 100% and the number of printed photos will be much less than the amount the number of pages you would be able to print if you were just printing standard text documents. Great Price, Hit or Miss with quality/performance The orig. manufacturing company has discontinued this particular drum unit so we have to purchase a refurbished drums. When buying from the manufacturer (approx. $170/unit) the unit lasts for 1-1.5yrs with pretty heavy use. These refurbished drums only last a few months. With our last purchase 1 drum was damaged and makes marks on all pages it prints When the units are new they work great but don?t last long, they claim 20,000 pages but it seems more like 3,000-5,000 pages before the drum needs to be replaced again. Unfortunately because it?s no longer available through the manufacturer this is our only option. July 11, 2012
