LD inkjet cartridge refill kits allow you to refill your existing empty ink cartridge. Why buy a new or remanufactured ink cartridge when you can refill the cartridge you have for much less money? Each kit includes the ink, tools and instructions to refill your empty inkjet cartridge and get printing again quickly. It is always a good idea to refill cartridges that have just ran out of ink. You also shouldn't try to keep printing on an empty cartridge as it will burn out of the printheads on your ink cartridge. All inkjet cartridge print quality will eventually fade but by keeping your cartridge full of ink and printing regularly you should be able to get a few cycles with one cartridge before buying a new or remanufactured ink cartridge.

If you have an HP ink-jet printer and aren't refilling your own ink cartridges, you're wasting a lot of money and TIME. OEM HP cartridges have a "lifetime" clock in them, plus the ink in them turns into sludge in less than 3 weeks in my experience (with 6 HP printers).Re-manufactured cartridges have longer life ink, but the print quality isn't always best. Re-filling your own keeps the ink fresh (with normal use), keeps the print heads cleaner and make better photo quality prints with far less waste. It takes a little time to clean and re-fill a cartridge, and it can be a little messy. A drop of ink is like a drop of blood...it doesn't just wipe-off. If you use an XL cartridge a month, or a standard one in more than a couple of months, get a pair of re-manufactured cartridges so you always have one full on-hand, and start "rolling your own". The time we wasted with OEM cartridge issues (call HP, yadda, yadda), the co$t, and the print quality will make you a believer.

I followed the instructions to fill OEM cartridge, used enough ink, but didn't fill the tanks as printer showed low ink level. The ink came out of the bottom and messed up the pages later. I must have done something wrong. There should be an instructional video with Do's and Don'ts. Be careful, if you are old like me who needs detailed instructions!

I followed the directions exactly and even after cleaning printer heads multiple times pages were streaky and faded. Went and bought cartridges and they work perfectly, the first time.
