We realize and understand our environmental obligations and the impact our company has on our environment. At 4inkjets our efforts to protect the environment go above and beyond selling remanufactured cartridges, it is a way of life. We recognize the fact that even the smallest effort to reduce pollution is very crucial to the well being and overall survival of our planet.

HERE ARE THE FACTS

 When you purchased a recycled cartridge you are helping to reduce the number of cartridges that end up in our landfills. More than 300 million printer cartridges end up in landfills each year. Each ink and toner cartridge is made up of plastic and metal. Plastic of course is made from oil which is a non-renewable resource just like metal. Around 2 ounces of oil are used in the production of inkjet cartridges. Around 90% of cartridges are recyclable but only around 20% are actually recycled. Over 13 cartridges are discarded in the US every second. Ink cartridges do not degrade and contain materials and chemicals that can be harmful to the environment. This means that these harmful chemicals can end up in poisoning our soil.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Simply put too many recyclable cartridges are ending up in our landfills. When this happens not only are we adding to the millions of cartridges already in our landfills but we are wasting non-renewable sources in the production of new ink and toner cartridges.
