Page Yield is an approximation of the number of standard pages that can be printed with one cartridge, usually measured at 5% page coverage. 5% coverage is a standard 8.5 x 11 inch page with a light letterhead, address and three paragraphs of text double spaced. If you print mixed text and graphics or WebPages your page coverage is closer to 15% and therefore the number of pages printed with each cartridge will be less. If you are printing photos your page coverage is close to 100% and the number of printed photos will be much less than the amount the number of pages you would be able to print if you were just printing standard text documents. Poor performance, poor service Buying was easy. Receiving the toner was easy. Installation easy until tried to print. The cartridge was not recognized. Called tech support, cleaned chip tried again. Same problem. Sent back cartridge - waited a week. Received new cartridge. Installed. Printer accepted it. Printed and page was covered in Magenta toner to about 90%. Tried cleaning roller etc. Same problem. Called Tech Support. Cleaned this and that same result. Time to send back. I'll wait nearly another week and printer has been down for nearly three weeks. Thankfully I have a backup. I asked to speak to the supervisor and I waited 5 minutes and was then told he had gone into a meeting! I have had good performance from this company in the past but there has to be a time when you say enough is enough. March 27, 2012
