How do I change the toner on my Brother HL L2380DW?

  1. To change your Brother HL-L2380dw toner cartridge, carefully open the front door of your printer by pulling on the notches on the left and right side of the face of the printer.
  2. Pull out the drum unit and toner assembly via the green tab. The whole tray-like piece is the drum unit which holds the toner cartridges.
  3. Set down the drum unit on a flat surface and press down on the green lever on the left of the drum unit. This will release the toner cartridge.
  4. Remove the packaging of your new toner, and slide the new toner into the drum unit where you removed the old toner cartridge. Push down on the toner cartridge gently until it clicks into place.
  5. Slide the drum unit back into the printer. Make sure the green tab of the drum unit is facing you or the drum unit won't slide back smoothly.
  6. Close the printer door.
